Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it removed. Written for the businesses that run drops and for the people who sign up for them.
Last updated October 5, 2026
If you signed up for a dropThe business running the event uses HellaGood Drops to run its line, and you signed up on our page. We hold that list for the event. To be taken off, ask the business or email us. Questions about how the business uses your details go to the business; questions about how we handle them come to us.
Who we are
HellaGood Drops is operated by Golden Dawn USA LLC, California. Contact: hello@hellagooddrops.com.
What we collect
From businesses and their staff
- Account details: name, email, and a mobile number for anyone on your team who signs in. Sign-in credentials are stored encrypted, never in a form we or anyone else can read back.
- Business and drop details you enter: name, address, logo, links, the event's dates and place, its lines and the words and images on its pages and passes.
- Billing: the drops and texts you buy. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.
- Sign-in and security logs: when and from where accounts and devices sign in.
From guests
- What they give to sign up for a drop: name, phone number, and an email if the event asks for one.
- What happens to their place: when they signed up, confirmed their number, checked in, were called and were let in, and which line.
- A rating of the event, if they leave one.
- If they add their pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet: what the wallet needs to update that card on their device when their turn comes.
- Technical details a browser sends when a guest opens their page, such as IP address and device type.
Why we use it
- To run the drop: hold places, call people in, and text a guest about their own place in line when it is their turn.
- To give the business its reporting: how many signed up, how many came, and which invite link brought them.
- To keep accounts secure and the service working, and to answer support requests.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not use guest details for advertising.
Who else sees it
Service providers who help us run the product, only for that purpose: hosting and database providers, the carrier that delivers text messages, the wallet providers that deliver pass updates, our payment processor, and the AI model provider behind the Drop Advisor chat on our site (which receives only what you type into it). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. A guest's phone number is used only to text them about their own place in line at the drop they signed up for, and is passed to our messaging carrier for that delivery and nothing else.
How long we keep it
- A guest's place stays with the drop after it ends, for the business's reporting.
- Business data is deleted within 90 days of an account closing, unless the law says otherwise.
Your choices and rights
- Guests can ask to be taken off a list at any time, through the business or by emailing us. Text messages only go to numbers given to us at signup, and only about that drop. Reply STOP to any message to stop them.
- Businesses can edit or delete their details in the app, and can ask us for a copy of the data we hold.
- California residents have the right to know what personal information we have about them, to ask for it to be deleted, and to not be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. To exercise these rights, email us; we will verify the request and respond within the time the law sets.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, a device cookie so a paired door scanner or check-in screen stays paired, and on a guest's phone a cookie that remembers their pass so the sign at the door recognises them. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
Data travels encrypted. Sign-in credentials are stored encrypted and cannot be read back, by us or anyone else. Sign-ins are logged. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
Children
The service is for businesses and their guests, not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so here and in the app before it takes effect.
