Terms of Service
Terms of use and conditions for HellaGood Drops. Plain words on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

1. Who we are, and agreeing to this
HellaGood Drops ("HellaGood", "we", "us") is operated by Golden Dawn USA LLC, a California limited liability company. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.
2. What the service is
Line management for events where a crowd arrives at once: a release, a sale, a signing. A web app for the business and its staff, signup and pass pages guests open on their own phone, a printed sign that checks people in, a door scanner, passes for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and optional text messages.
It is a tool that helps you run a line. It does not let anyone in, promise anyone a product or a place, or decide who gets served. Those are your calls.
3. Your account and your staff
- You are responsible for your account, for anyone you add to your team, and for what they do in the app.
- Keep your sign-in details, and your team's, private. Tell us right away if you think an account has been used without permission.
- One account per person. Roles control what each person can change; the owner is responsible for the business.
4. Drops, billing, texts
- You pay per drop. There is no subscription and no setup fee. Building and testing a drop is free.
- A drop includes a number of texts. More texts are bought in packs; they never expire and carry over to your next drop.
- Prices are shown on our site and can change. We will tell you before a change affects what you pay.
- You can run a drop without sending any texts. Guests then follow their place in line on their pass, on their own phone.
5. Text messages
- Who sends them. Every text comes from HellaGood Drops and opens with "HellaGood:". It is about the guest's own place in line at the drop they signed up for.
- Who gets them. A guest gets texts only if they ask for them when they sign up, by ticking the box next to the message about texts. If the event confirms phone numbers, the guest also gets a one-time code when they sign up, because they asked for it by entering their number.
- What they say. A code to confirm a number, a message when it is the guest's turn, and the link to their pass. Message frequency varies with the event. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop them. That number gets one confirmation and nothing after it, from any drop on HellaGood Drops, until the person asks to start again. CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE and REVOKE do the same.
- Reply HELP for who we are and how to reach us, or email hello@hellagooddrops.com.
- Reply START to turn texts back on after stopping them. UNSTOP and YES do the same.
- Nobody is ever texted marketing or promotions.
- A guest who does not want texts still sees everything on their pass, on their own phone and in their wallet if they add it there.
6. Your guests
- Guests sign up on our pages for your drop, and give their name and phone number (and an email if you ask for one) so their place can be held and they can be called. You decide who is let in; we keep the line.
- We text guests as HellaGood Drops, only about the place in line they signed up for. You cannot send texts of your own through the service, upload contact lists, or message anyone who did not sign up.
- Use the list for the event and nothing else. No marketing, no bulk messages, no adding guests to other lists without their own consent. You are responsible for following local rules about the data you take from it.
- If someone brings a claim against us because of what you did — using the list for something other than the event, breaking a messaging, privacy or consumer rule, anything you or your staff uploaded or published, or anything else about your use of the service — you will cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, and you will handle it with us. That covers a claim from anyone, not only from you or your guests: a person who appears in a picture, whoever owns an image or a name, or anybody who saw something you put in front of them.
7. The Drop Advisor
The Drop Advisor on our site is an automated chat that suggests how to set up a drop. It can be wrong. Its suggestions are not promises about how an event will go, and you decide what to use.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to harass anyone, to send unwanted messages, to collect data you have no right to, to interfere with the service, or to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
9. What you upload
You can put your own pictures and words in front of your guests: a banner, a logo, a card for each line. Anything you upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you point at it, and nothing more; we do not use it for anything else.
- You are publishing it, and you accept that risk. What you upload is shown to the public. Once a guest has seen it, screenshotted it or passed it on, it is out of both our hands. You decide what goes up, and the consequences of it being seen are yours.
- You confirm you have the right to publish it. Pictures of people who agreed to be photographed, images and names you own or are allowed to use, and nothing that breaks a law or somebody else's rights. If you are not sure you have the right, do not upload it.
- Your staff upload as you. Anyone you give access to can put content in front of your guests, and everything they upload is yours under these terms, the same as if you had done it yourself. Give access to the people you trust, and take it back when someone leaves.
- Nothing illegal or harmful. No sexual content, nothing that harasses or threatens anybody, no impersonation, no stolen images or brands, nothing that breaks a law.
- We can take anything down, at any time, without telling you why. We may remove content or close an account over it. We are not obliged to look at what you upload, and not looking at something is not approval of it.
- We try to prevent misuse, and we do not guarantee it. No system catches everything, and we are not liable for what you or your staff publish, for content being changed by someone who should not have had access, or for anything that follows from either.
10. Availability
We work hard to keep the service up during your event, and we will tell you about planned downtime when we can. But it is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. It can go down, lose a connection, or fail in the middle of a drop, and you should be able to run that drop without it. We are not liable for sales you lose, people who leave the line, a list you cannot reach, texts or wallet updates that do not arrive, or anything else that follows from the software being unavailable or behaving in a way you did not expect. Keep a paper list at the door.
11. Limits on our liability
We are a technology company. We make software that keeps a line, calls people in and sends a few messages. We do not run your event, and nothing here makes us responsible for how it goes.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost business arising from the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. That limit covers every kind of claim together, including anything to do with data, security or a breach, however the claim is framed.
- Things outside our control are outside our liability. The internet, your connection, your devices, power, a failure at any of the providers we rely on for hosting, databases, message delivery, wallet passes or the AI model, or anything else we cannot reasonably control.
- We protect your data as described in our Privacy Policy, but no system is completely secure and we do not guarantee it cannot be breached. If we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you and do what the law requires.
- Putting something in front of the public carries risk, and it is yours. Content can be uploaded or changed by somebody who should not have, copied, screenshotted or passed around long after it comes down. We will do our best to prevent it, and you accept that it can happen anyway, that we cannot undo it, and that we are not liable to you or to anybody else for it or for what follows from it.
Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.
12. Your data, and ending things
Your guest lists and your reporting are yours. You can export what we hold about your business by asking us. If you close your account or we do, we delete your business data within 90 days, except where we must keep it by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the change.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you agree to that venue.
